HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It's that time again and hasn't the last year flown by? I never make new year resolutions but I am setting myself some this year. Don't know why, perhaps it's because if I write lists of things to do, I usually do them.
WHAT I PLAN TO TRY AND ACHIEVE IN 2013
Menu plan a lot better than I have in the last year and stick to my food budget.
Make sure Hubby and I have a date night once a month.
Buy a desk diary and write in jobs to do each day, DIY, date nights and days out in the diary and make sure we do everything we write down.
Get back on track with my healthy eating and lose the pounds I put on in the last couple of months.
Start saving a small amount each month to pay a lump sum off the mortgage in December 2013.
Finally. Set at least a couple of days a week to make sure I blog on a regular basis.
I'll elaborate on each of my resolutions in another post and keep you updated.
Hope you all have a healthy and happy 2013 xx

I've been decuttering and reorganising today - but I need to sit down with my diary and write my lists and new goals and that includes time to blog regularly. Because blogging makes me happy and allows me to take the time to think about my steps in my eco frugal aims.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2013!
Happy New Year to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteLosing weight is also one of my goals this coming year.
Other than that we don`t make any resolutions. we just carry on being careful with money. I`ve started a sealed pot challenge and hope to save at least £150 by the end of 2013 (to start a savings account for the first grandchild). Two holidays are planned this year and we are already saving the spending money for them. I`ve de-cluttered the kitchen pantry and given some items to the local food bank. It still leaves us well catered for with my regular stockpiling, and shopping should be kept to a minimum until end of February. Can`t wish for a better start to 2013 as the sun is shining this morning and the wind has dropped. A gorgeous day to start a new year!
Hello and nice to hear from you. Happy New Year and I hope all is well xx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Karen, nice to see you back. I don't really set myself resolutions, but rather challenges which are more fun, that way they're easily achievable. I think writing everything down in a diary is a good idea, I've recently gone back to using a Filofax and I find I'm much more organised now.
